The future is the sum of the changes we demand, the courage we display, and how we stand with and for each other.
We Make the Future (WMTF) was founded in 2021 and is built on the work of Race Class Narrative Action with ASO Communications and Faith in Minnesota and rooted in the research behind the Race Class Narrative.
WMTF will serve as the new implementation home for the Race Class Narrative (RCN). We combine strategic communications and coalition building to develop a shared narrative that motivates our base and persuades the middle. Working in partnership with researchers, content creators, labor and community based organizations, we aid in the implementation of messaging research by building the capacity of communicators, organizers and spokespeople.
Together, we are rewriting the rules.
Our Work
We are building a multiracial movement across age, class, faith, and zip code to reinstill hope in our democracy and build a brighter tomorrow while countering cynicism and despair — a movement where everyone is safe and free, with a care system and economy that works for us all.
Building Our Power
Black, white and brown — across labor, faith, philanthropy, and advocacy — we are setting the foundation for a multi-state, multiracial coalition rooted in sustained, local organizing that pushes for a progressive governing agenda at the local, state and national level.
Telling Our Story
Our narratives are based on rigorous research into perception and persuasion and grounded in the Race Class Narrative. With these ongoing resources, our partners are able to reinforce our vision, repeating the same notes to break through the political noise.
Delivering Our Vision
The future is what we do together. In collaboration with state and national campaigns, we tell the stories that bring our shared vision to life through cutting edge communications, digital content and ads, made available to all of our partners open source for adaptation and distribution.
